Seven years of Zero Friction: 100 heroes, one mission
Ghent, October 18, 2025 — Zero Friction celebrates its seventh anniversary. At the same time, the company reaches a special milestone: more than 100 customers at home and abroad trust the Zero Friction platform.

What began in 2018 as an ambitious idea to make energy billing simpler and more transparent has today grown into a leading player in the market for district heating billing software. Suppliers of heating and cooling in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France use Zero Friction to digitize their entire customer process — from meter reading to invoice and payment. This allows them to focus on their core business: delivering reliable, sustainable energy.

To celebrate the double anniversary, Zero Friction organized a Customer Festival in Ghent earlier this year. There, customers, partners, and employees looked ahead together to the future of digital heat supply.
In the coming years, Zero Friction will continue to focus on international growth and product innovation, with a strong emphasis on automation, integrations, and user-friendliness, always with the same goal: Zero hassle, Zero Friction.
